Professor Green has got the all clear after a cancer scare - but has to have a hernia operation.

The 32-year-old star has revealed details of an intimate examination he underwent on his private parts today (18.05.16) which showed he doesn't have the deadly disease, but after a check on his stomach he was told he needs to go under the knife.

He wrote on Instagram: "My day:

Woke up coughing and spluttering. Loss

Travelled to the docs for a scan I'd been putting off; left my keys in an @uberuk and the driver couldn't find them. Called me back 30 mins later and they'd turned up. Loss/Win

Doctor fondled my balls with jelly. Result: no cancer. Win.

Doctor rubbed my belly with jelly. Result: got to have my hernia (sic)"

However, Pro's day finished on a high as he got a free haircut from one of his pals and shared a snap of his newly-shaved head on the photo-sharing website.

Last month, the rapper also took to social media to inform fans he was ill with swollen glands.

He wrote: "Safe to say my glands are swollen then? bank holiday weekend plans out of the window."

It's not the first time Pro - whose real name is Stephen Manderson - has had hernia problems.

He wrote on Twitter in 2011: "i can't wait till this blemmin hernia is fixed so i can sort my life out and get in proper shape. watching what you eat is so boring (sic)"

Last April, the star was struck down with a stomach bug during a trip to Amsterdam, and at the time he was pining for his then-wife Millie Mackintosh - who he split from earlier this year - to nurse him back to health.

He wrote: "Belly is still f***ed. vom vom vom. Making the best of a bad situation watching Daredevil on Netflix ... Frighteningly excited about the return of the bird after her little Coachella adventure ... A large part of the excitement is due to the prospect of getting over the sickness bug and her making a bolognese (sic)"
