Zayn Malik has reportedly got engaged to Perrie Edwards.
The One Direction heartthrob and his girlfriend of 18 months have sparked speculation they will marry after the 20-year-old blonde beauty was spotted wearing a lavish diamond ring on her ring finger at the 'One Direction: This Is Us' world premiere in London on Tuesday (20.08.13).
Insiders close to the couple suggest Zayn - who met Little Mix singer Perrie backstage at 'The X Factor' in 2011 - popped the question over the weekend.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It was so romantic - Zayn popped the question over the weekend when they were alone together. It's one of the first weekends they've spent with each other, as they've both been on tours with their bands. He wanted to wait for the perfect moment.
"All her bandmates were at V Festival, and she couldn't wait to tell them. They're all really excited for her, as the rest of One Direction are for Zayn."
The news comes after the 'Best Song Ever' singer recently had a cartoon of his girlfriend tattooed on his upper right arm earlier this year.
Zayn, 20, recently insisted he and Perrie are "stronger than ever" following allegations he cheated on her with Australian waitress Courtney Webb in January.
