To dream about a proposal suggests you are ready to take your relationship to the next level.

This could be an engagement, marriage or some other marker of your commitment to one another like moving in together or swapping keys.

Perhaps you are worried that your partner isn’t in the same place as you- in which case- do you need to have a chat with them about where your partnership is going?

On the other hand, maybe you are the one who feels that your pairing is going at too quick a pace and you want to slow things down. If you are the one who wants to put the breaks on- do you need to tell your partner how you feel? If you sense that they are too far ahead of you, perhaps you are not meant to be. With that said, if they are feeling pressure or getting carried away, you may be able to rein them in with some reassuring words.

If someone proposed to you who you are not in a relationship with, it’s possible you see this person as more than a friend or acquaintance.

Do you need to tell them what your true feelings are? Or if they are out of bounds, how can you dilute these affections down so you can move on with your life?

A proposal is also defined as a suggestion, so maybe you want to put something forward for consideration but are struggling to find the right time or place.

Do you simply need to bite the bullet and get it over and done with? Every moment you don’t ask could be another one wasted. Or do you need to consult someone else first?

Has someone in your professional or personal life put a plan forward to you lately? If so, the dream might be a result of you reflecting on this proposition and what it means.

Are you taking too long to reply to this person? Or can you afford to spend time on digesting the information? The dream could be telling you to speed things up or to take it more seriously, depending on where you stand in your waking hours.

Consider the initial part of the word proposal- it’s possible that you are using something or someone to prop yourself up lately and this may not be the best thing for you long term. Momentarily this may help you, however the dream could be urging you not to get too comfortable and to remember that it is not meant to be a permanent situation.

If you were sprinkling flour on a surface, it’s possible you are trying to ease things along with a little help. Your assistance is advantageous but not essential. Perhaps you want to help make someone’s life a little easier with some small expressions of kindness. On the flipside, perhaps the dream is encouraging you to give up some snippets of your time to make someone’s day brighter. Similarly, there could be a project you’ve been working in on that needs just a few minor tweaks in order to make it soar. Along the same vein, perhaps you are treating some task as a whole and you need to break it down into finer points and deal with each of these one at a time. It’s possible you are taking on too much by trying to manage this idea as just one big entity...
