It’s now the time of year when we shed our casual jackets for puffy, warm winter coats. This month (November, 2021) is getting colder by the day, which may cause many of us to purchase more blankets, perhaps leading to dreams about the warm, comfy covering.

Dreaming about a blanket may not be a common dream, but it does happen; here are seven possible dreams about blankets you can have, and what they might mean.

Pile of blankets

If you have dreamt about a pile of blankets, this can signify that you can have hope in someone once again. Emotionally, this is great news as it seems that you are ready to move on from an old argument or disagreement.

Now might be the perfect time to think about any arguments that are either ongoing, or still bother you; why not reach out and try to better the situation before it’s too late?

Coloured blanket

When you dream of a bright-coloured blanket, it suggests that multiple small projects will present themselves. This can grow into new opportunities for you, however you may need to surpass some adversity to reap the rewards.

In the days before you, try your best to keep a positive attitude as this will be very useful and lead to more productivity.

Old blanket

If you dream of an old blanket, it is likely to signify anxiety. You should try to relax more, and also try to be less tense; listen to a podcast, read a new book, or watch your favourite movie, as all of these things are highly likely to bring you into a positive mood.

This dream can also show your inability to trust people, and is a sign of a situation you have been trying to avoid. Now is the time to face any issues or problems head on; you don’t have to do this alone, however! Don’t be afraid to ask for help or advice.

Clean blanket

Dreaming of a clean blanket can symbolise that you will overcome discomfort and avoid illness. This can also indicate that good news is heading your way!

If your mantle is clean, but becomes dirty, this can mean there are feelings of guilt and/or regret that you should aim to fix. Dreams about blankets in general can also highlight your best relationships with others, the ones that bring you the most happiness.

Blanket on the bed

When dreaming of a blanket on the bed, it can signify your incredible ability to overcome any situation thrown your way. However, it may help you to get rid of any fear and doubt that holds you back.

This can be done in many ways, the only hurdle is finding the way that works for you.

Folded blanket

If you dream of folding a blanket, this is a sign of imperfection. You should take some time to evaluate the problem properly, and from different angles, which will give you a better view of this issue.

If you have problems with believing in yourself and your own abilities, now is the time to try and change this. Perhaps recalling some work you have done that you have been praised for, or looking at photos of happy memories can create feelings of pride and happiness.

Baby blanket

A baby blanket within your dream can be a sign that you wish to live a freer lifestyle.

It may help drastically if you dealt with any negative feelings you have, and also any feelings of those you may have hurt; this will give you closure and allow you to move forward.

This dream is also a sign that you should, if you are, stop controlling the fate of someone close to you; while you may be trying to help, this is not good for you or the other person. You need to learn how to relinquish control.
