To dream about tools is directly related to your skillset.

If there were tools in your dream that you had no idea how to use, perhaps you are feeling unprepared for something in your waking hours.

This is also true if you saw tools that you couldn’t reach, even if you did know what they were designed for.

To dream of learning to use a tool, implies that you are making an effort to become more independent and resourceful. The dream could be telling you to keep going as the skills you are acquiring could come in useful in both your professional and personal life.

Consider who else was with you in the dream as seeing tools and someone specific could mean you have issues that need to be fixed within this particular relationship.

If you were using the tools effectively and efficiently, perhaps you are in the middle of sorting a problem in your life right now. You are putting the necessary steps in place to fix an issue that has been bothering you for some time.

To see someone else using tools while you stood by and watched means that you are letting another person do all the hard work and taking credit for something that isn’t really yours to receive praise for.

The dream might be telling you to chip in and to help or to do the right thing and let everyone else know who should be congratulated for their efforts.

The word ‘tool’ can be used as a derogatory term for someone you deem to be stupid, so again try to remember who was with you and this might give you a clue as to who in your life you have very little respect for. It might be time to walk away from this person if you feel that you will never be on the same wavelength.

To see a room full of tools suggests you are feeling overwhelmed and don’t know where to start with something. If you can’t narrow it down, it may be wise to ask for help from someone who is well rehearsed in the area you’re struggling with. They might be able to give you some guidance as to where to begin.

Were there multiple tools in your dream but none of them appropriate for the job you were trying to do?

If so, maybe you have started walking down the wrong path in life and the dream is reinforcing the point that it’s not a good match for you.

Perhaps you still have time to change course without too much disruption. If you know in your heart that this is not an appropriate fit for you, it may be time to back out.

Perhaps the reason you are so casual about this situation is because you know you have something to fall back onto if it doesn’t work out. With that said, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try and the dream could be telling you to carry on as if there is nothing in reserve. If you were removing someone else’s kidney, it’s possible you want to disadvantage this person in some way. Your dislike for them doesn’t stretch as far as prevention but you want to make things difficult for them. If you were removing both kidneys- it’s clear you don’t want this person to have a fallback option. You would rather they remained stressed or at risk.
