Former Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe is eyeing a career as a musician. The 28-year-old is practising his guitar and singing skills and hopes to be a successful solo artist. He tells People.com, "I've just started writing and trying to develop my sound a little bit, but it will be as a solo artist. I sing and play guitar."Metcalfe made his television debut in soap opera Passions from its debut in 1999 to 2004. But the actor is bes known as teenage gardener John Rowland who had an affair with housewife Gabrielle Solis , played by Eva Longoria.However the tabloids became interested in the actor when he began dating Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle after they met in Australia in February 2006.The pair ended their relationship in November of the same year.
