YOKO ONO has denied eating dog meat during an appearance on a London radio station last month (May07). The widow of late Beatle John Lennon has issued a statement dismissing the recent reports, which claimed she consumed pitta bread filled with Corgi meat while live on Resonance FM. It reads: "This allegation is completely untrue and highly defamatory." News agency the Press Association has apologised to the 74-year-old.2007 has seen YOKO ONO return to music releasing a remix album Yes I'm a Witch in February. Artists such the Apples in Stereo, The Flaming Lips and Porcupine Tree were invited to choose a song from Yoko's back catalogue and remix it.Her back catalogue included her work with John Lennon in the late 60's through to her solo career of the 70's and 80's.Since the 1960's Ono has been an activist for human rights and peace. Her most famous campaign was "Bed for Peace" in the honeymoon suite of the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel in 1969 with new husband John Lennon.
