Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is currently sitting at the top of the all-format gaming chart, and has been named as the third biggest game launch of the year so far in terms of week-one sales, sitting behind Arkham Knight and The Witcher 3, and beating Guns of Liberty by nearly 37%.

Making 72% of its sales on PlayStation 4 as compared to 22% on Xbox One, The Phantom Pain is the first game in the Metal Gear Solid franchise to top the chart since 2008's Guns of the Patriots.

Another new entry - Mad Max - comes in at number two on the charts with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition dropping to third. Until Dawn drops two places to four above Disney Infinity 3.0 which rounds out the top 5.

Grand Theft Auto 5 remains at number six and LEGO Jurassic World drops two places to seven, with Minecraft taking both eighth and ninth place with their PlayStation and Xbox editions respectively. Arkham Knight remains in the top ten, dropping one place from last week, from nine to ten.
