The popular farming RPG game was released for PC systems in February last year, and after getting a console release in December, the game is now available to buy as a collector's edition which gives fans a number of extra goodies.

'Stardew Valley Collector's Edition' - which is out now in North America and is due for a European release on Thursday (13.04.17) - gives players access to the full game, as well as fun extras including the 33-song soundtrack, an exclusive printed map of Stardew Valley, and a mini-guidebook to the game by video game author and artist Kari Fry.

In North America, the collector's edition will set you back $29.99, whilst the original version of the game - which is available digitally via the PlayStation and Xbox stores - costs $19.99.

Molly Carroll, marketing manager at Chucklefish who helped develop the game, said in a statement: "It's been incredible to watch such a fantastic and supportive community form around 'Stardew Valley'. This charming country life RPG created by a solo developer has now sold over two million copies and received over 50,000 positive player reviews."

Meanwhile, game creator Eric Barone revealed the game will no longer be coming to the Wii U console, as he is instead focusing on a patch for the new Nintendo Switch.

He said previously: "Looking at Wii U and the current gaming landscape, we made the difficult choice to shift our development efforts to creating a version for Nintendo Switch.

"I am really looking forward to the Switch, and I believe that the Switch's unique capabilities could create some exciting opportunities for 'Stardew Valley'.

"I do want to emphasise that I am absolutely committed to seeing 'Stardew Valley' on Nintendo platforms, and I really do appreciate your support and understanding in this."
