The 38-year-old retired soccer star shared a picture of himself inside one of FIFA's mobile scanning booths and tweeted that he will be part of an upcoming video game.

He wrote: "#tbt From a shoot. I will actually be put into a computer game as a playable character. You will find out shortly..."

While former Arsenal player Henry did not specify what the game is, it is believed that he was referring to 'FIFA 17'.

If this is the case he will appear in the Ultimate Team alongside Davor Suker, David Seaman, Dennis Bergkamp, Sol Campbell, Freddie Ljungberg, Patrick Vieira and Robert Pires.

'FIFA' 17 is expected to be released later this year as EA has dropped a new 'FIFA' game every September for the past six years.

In June at EA Play, which takes place during E3, the first 'FIFA 17' gameplay videos are expected to be shown.
