Something like this is on the top of many men's Christmas lists

The modern man would rather treat himself to a pamper day than a sky-dive.

Two fifths explained that they would simply enjoy the 'relaxtion and attention.'

As part of ongoing research into what the British public want to give and receive as Christmas presents this year, a newly launched social gift contribution app has conducted a study in a bid to discover what men in the UK really want for Christmas. Subsequently, 1,281 men aged between 18 and 40 were polled.

The research, conducted by the company behind the Grant My Wish App, followed previous research that revealed that girlfriends don’t know what to buy their partner.  The male respondents were initially asked if they would prefer to indulge in a pamper day or take part in an adrenaline-fuelled sky-dive.

According to the research, three fifths, of the respondents claimed that they would rather have a day being pampered then jump from a plane on a sky-dive.  In a bid to investigate further, the respondents were then asked if they would be ‘happy’ if they received a ‘pamper day gift voucher’ this Christmas; to which over half said ‘Yes’.

When asked why, 41 per cent said that they would 'enjoy the attention and relaxation' of a pamper day.

However, other reasons why they would rather a pamper day also surfaced. Seventeen per cent said that they would be 'too scared' to take part in a sky-dive.

Furthermore, almost a third, of the respondents said that they would prefer to experience a spa day than a ‘driving experience’.

Founders of the Grant My Wish app and parent company Tellallmyfriends.com, Keji Giwa and Daniel Agoye, spoke about the findings:

“It was great fun conducting this research, as the majority of our experiences are bought as gifts we aren’t always sure who the recipient is. It is great to see that both men and women enjoy the same experiences, as opposed to typically women liking pamper days and men preferring driving days.”
