The awards ceremony was hosted by the glamorous GMTV presenter Jenni Falconer. Guests were treated to a series of ‘Interludes’ performed by top music talent. Rising Scottish star Sandi Thom and her band, new R&B act 'Jeffron¹, whose debut single is currently on MTV and the sensational electric fiddle player Laura McPhee, who played the finale walk of the night.

VIP¹s attended a Gala Dinner and charity auction hosted by TV personalities John Amabile and Carol Smillie, in aid of the Princes Trust and a glittering After Party, in the castle¹s Great Hall, was turned into a nightclub and hosted by Amy Sacco.

Aptly named 'Queen of the Night¹ by Vanity Fair Magazine, the owner of New York¹s celebrity magnet - Bungalow 8 nightclub, hosted the exclusive party.

In line with the international fascination of ‘tartan’ that is prevalent on world catwalks, organisers laid out a ’tartan red carpet¹ at Stirling Castle. A galaxy of celebrities, fashion designers and high profile business figures walked the tartan trail to Scotland¹s inaugural Scottish Fashion Awards including top Scottish design talent and nominees.

The Green Room at the castle specially created to house our top Scottish creative talents, where award winning hairdressing team Jason & India Miller and M.A.C cosmetics had their style suites. Hamilton & Inches treated VIP's to a bespoke Jewellery counter, guarded with security where celebrities had their pick from diamonds and international jewellery collections.

(Several stars earmarked exquisite jewellery pieces, such as the £10k bracelet that will adorn the wrist of Jenni Falconer).

Fashion royalty included Glasgow’s Jonathan Saunders who won Scottish Designer of the year, Dundee born Brian Rennie ¬ Creative Director for Escada and Paris based Scot April Crichton, Creative Director for Sonia by Sonia Rykiel.

Joe McKenna, one of the most influential fashion stylists in the world, whose credits include Vanity Fair, Tatler, W, Rolling Stone, and campaigns for Gianni Versace, Calvin Klein, Miuccia Prada, Marc Jacobs and Donna Karan to name but a few, flew in from New York to pick up his award.

Christopher Kane, the editors ' New Talent¹ favourite will attend with his family and who will undoubtedly call his backer ¬ Donatella Versace, who has sponsored his debut collection, launching at London Fashion Week later this year.
