But it was Lopez’s makeup that really off topped off her look as she sported a perfectly bronzed and highlighted complexion which was achieved thanks to a simple trick by her make-up artist Mary Phillips.

Posting a pic of Lopez on the red carpet on Instagram, Phillips explained that instead of using a normal highlighter on Lopez’s cheeks she chose to use Armani’s Prima Glow Moisturizing Balm.

Phillips said she applied the balm to Lopez’s cheeks using a blush brush, then patted any remaining balm into the skin using her fingers. The balm costs £62 for 50ml, but while pricey it does come with many added benefits.

Along with giving your skin a red carpet glow, it also claims to plumpen the skin and moisturise for up to 24 hours.

opez’s gown for the evening came from designer Reem Arca, who his known for her glamorous embellished creations. The form-fitting black gown featured an open front and was decorated with intricate beading in a floral design.

Explaining their fashion choice for the evening, J’Lo’s stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn told Billboard  “As a departure from her go to colours and silhouettes, it was the perfect combination of sexy, classic and fashion forward with a touch of skin and sparkle.”

“This dress felt new and unexpected, and that's what we always love to achieve on the red carpet. Love to keep them guessing!” Zangardi and Haenn added.

Reem Arca was also the choice of the evening for singer Gwen Stefani, who chose a quirky blue two piece which featured ruffle detailing on the shoulders and skirt.
