We're a little obsessed right now with 'the natural look' - especially after seeing Kim Kardashian in her amazing pictures for Spanish Vogue, looking radiant and very different to the usual made-up Kim we're used to!

Dr Kuldeep Minocha is the lead Aesthetic Physician at Absolute Aesthetics and regularly works with Restylane, an international skincare brand fronted by none other than the gorgeous Sharon Stone, which champions 'the natural look.'

Dr Minocha is offering us some of his top tips on how to look flawless WITHOUT make up.

  1. I would first and foremost recommend going to see a skin specialist in the first instance to analyse your skin type, and discuss a skincare regime that is really going to work for you as an individual. If your face-cream for example is too heavy, this could leave you with clogged pores and a sluggish complexion. So many of us are using the wrong products.
  2. If you are going to consider an aesthetic treatment, choose one that looks natural and fresh. At Absolute Aesthetics we find that Restylane Skinboosters™ are a great option for those that would rather improve the skin's overall quality by boosting hydration levels deep inside the skin and increasing its smoothness, elasticity and firmness.
  3. Consider your décolletage too - often forgotten about, this area tends to age quickly and lose elasticity too, while also be very susceptible to sun damage. Restylane Skinboosters™ work just as well in this area.
  4. Stress will take its toll on skin over time. To combat the effects, make sure you sleep at least 8 hours a night. If you do not sleep enough the body releases cortisol - the stress hormone - and cortisol in term breaks down collagen, which keeps our skin supple and healthy. Though the effects of stress can be damaging to the skin, they are not irreversible.
  5. Keep your skin protected at all times, whatever your age, with a good quality SPF. Choose one that protects against UVA and UVB rays.
  6. Your skin loses moisture as you age, so make sure you keep moisturised with creams that suit your skin type, as well as considering treatments that use hyaluronic acid when you start to notice a loss in smoothness and elasticity.
  7. Confidence in yourself makes all the difference as to how you look. Make sure you take the time out each day to relax and take care of your skin - make it as much as a part of your routine as say, brushing your teeth. Exercise and drinking lots of water will make you feel you good from the inside.
  8. Everyone should be trying to avoid make-up for 2 days a week to give skin a break. On your break days, treat yourself to an exfoliation and a steam to really detoxify the skin.
  9. One of the first places people notice when you are not wearing make-up is the eye area - a well-groomed eyebrow area makes all the difference to your outward appearance and makes you look more youthful. Incorporate eye serums into your beauty regime - the skin around your eye is thinner, therefore making it more susceptible to dark circles and ageing.
  10. Do not forget to cleanse and tone at night - and moisturise, moisturise, moisturise. The perfect time to top up your skin hydration levels is while you are sleeping - to leave you bright-eyed for the morning and ready to face the world make up free and natural.
