Lily Aldridge wants to launch her own fashion label.

The Victoria's Secret model hopes to follow in the footsteps of former angels Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks and Alessandra Ambrosio by becoming an entrepreneur.

She told British VOGUE magazine: "I'd love to launch my own label. A beauty line would be super fun, but I know that building my own company would be a lot of work.

"There's so much that I want to do, but I want to slowly start building my own thing."

The 28-year-old beauty is inspired by her fellow catwalk stars who have created their own fashion empires and isn't surprised they have been successful because she thinks working for Victoria's Secret is empowering.

She said: "I'm so inspired by the different careers of so many of the Victoria's Secret girls. Being there does so much for you, and it does make you want to follow their lead.

"Gisele, for example, is such an incredible humanitarian and environmentalist, and Heidi Klum has created some amazing brands."

The brunette beauty is focused on her second collection for Velvet by Graham and Spencer before putting together any big business plans, and this year marks her 10th anniversary with the brand.

She said: "Velvet is totally my vibe. It's effortless, timeless and cool. They make the kind of clothes that I want to wear. I've picked pieces that I love from my wardrobe that I want to remake."

The model, who has 21-month-old daughter Dixie with her husband, Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill, also revealed her style has "evolved" since becoming a mother.

She said: "I used to play it safe and just wear something because I knew it looked good. After I had Dixie, I was so bored of wearing boring things. The possibilities are endless now!"
