Harry Potter Premiere: The Fashion Round-up

Harry Potter Premiere: The Fashion Round-up

As the red carpet rolled out for the last time in London last night fans and stars arrived to celebrate the final installment of J K Rowling's phenomena that has had both children and adults captivated all over the world for over a decade.

Child stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint have grown up as being three of the most famous young actors in the industry and boy haven't they grown up well. All three looked incredible as they stepped out, if not somewhat emotional, to enjoy 'the end of an era.'

No suprises that Emma stole the show with her floor length Oscar de la Renta gown. Few will deny the actress, who has become a popular style icon over the years, was the one-to -watch on the red carpet - and she delivered. The breathtaking gown with full-bodied skirt with a hint of purple was exactly what this film premiered deserved. It was a show-stopper for a show-stopper.

The boys scrubbed up well too. Rupert going for a traditional black suit and skinny tie and Daniel opting for a handsome grey number with waistcoast and classy tie clip.

Oscar de la Renta was only the beginning for the fashion talent that was on the red carpet last night and the cast and stars went all out to ensure that this was a finale to remember. Vogue guru Anna Wintour, fresh from her time front row in Paris for Haute Couture Week, made an appearance looking fantastic wearing a bold green dress and her statement shades.

Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) looked the part in a fabulous floor-length Miu Miu dress in a wonderfully fashionable cream colour. Clemence Poesy (Fleur Delacour) wore a white ruffled Nina Ricci and black peep toe pumps bringing home the monochrome trend this season. And of course the creator of the franchise Jo Rowling, went for classic de la Renta too in a flower print gown that swept along the red carpet she had inspired...

Though the stars may have needed their waterproof mascara (Watson), there fashion choices were nothing to be teary about. We may be sad to see the end of Harry Potter, but with a premiere like this, and such high class styling present, it's clear to see that this is the time to end the popular children's fictional journey as the once shy and unsure children are all grown-up and ready to take on the world.
