Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs upset some of the world's most fashionable people by running late for his Paris Fashion Week show on Sunday.

The designer kept an increasingly impatient crowd waiting over an hour to see his spring/summer 08 collection for Louis Vuitton just weeks after his show was delayed by 2 hours in New York.

Te audience began to clap in protest and photographers booed, jeered and waved their cameras in anger at the delay. Meanwhile twitching celebrities in the front row were served glasses of water to pasify them.

Finally the show began with a lie up of top '90s supermodels including Stephanie Seymour, Eva Herzigova, Nadja Auermann and Naomi Campbell modelling sexy see-through nurses' coats in honour of the collaboration between Jacobs and artist Richard Prince.

Prince's cool 70s images of hunky men and wanton women decorated the sides of the tent as the latest Louis Vuitton collection made it's way down the catwalk.

Bold neon and primary colours in sheer and luxe fabrics were used to make up a collection of sexy 70s cartoony pop art inspired designs.

The focus of the show was on bags- Louis Vuitton's speciallity. Totes had the look of a doctor's bag with large sturdy structure and patent finish.

Whether or not Jacobs did enough to make up for his annoying timekeeping problem is yet to be seen but with notorious fashion critic Suzy Menkes saying she wanted to "murder him with her bare hands" -according to the Guardian- it seems he has a lot of sucking up to do.
