The 40-year-old actress, who became the spokeswoman for Christian Dior in 2004, and features in their latest J'adore Eau Lumière couture fragrance commercial, has revealed the luxury brand always entice her with "exciting" new concepts for their next beauty project.

Speaking to Australia's Sunday Style magazine about her partnership with the fashion house on their new commercial, the blonde beauty said: "This time we wanted the J'adore woman to be perceived less as a goddess and more like a woman of flesh, to emphasise her more relaxed and sensual side.

"There is always a new concept so it never gets boring ... each campaign, dress or new look keeps it exciting."

The South African-born star - who grew up near Benoni before moving to Italy at 16-years-old after winning a modelling contest - has admitted floral and earthy scents are her favourite fragrances because they remind her of her childhood.

She explained: "I like both, a good mix of flowers and earth. My strongest scent memories are of the farm where I grew up. And now of course I can't imagine living without the scent of my children.

"South Africa will always be my home."

And 'The Huntsman: Winter's War' star - who reprised her role as Queen Ravenna in the fantasy sequel - has admitted a few squirts of her signature scent give her an extra boost of confidence and sex appeal.

Speaking about the reasons she adorns the cosmetic product, she said: "I wear it to feel confident and sexy."

Although, Charlize believes women begin to feel more empowered as they mature.

Speaking previously she said: "Women find their strength and power in their sexuality, in their sensuality within, through getting older and being secure within that.

"That's why I think people say women come into their prime in their 40s."
