Claire Danes has been announced as the new face of Gucci's jewellery line.
The actress will take over from Drew Barrymore in the next series of adverts for the fashion house.
'Claire Danes is a modern icon. For me she is one of the most interesting young actresses on the international scene." said Gucci creative director Frida Giannini in a statement.
"She is very natural, fresh, and has a carefree attitude which can also be seen in the roles she has chosen. Claireâs sensual, confident beauty and her passionate, independent and strong character embodies todayâs Gucci woman."
Claire is also delighted about the new contract, saying: "'I am thrilled and honoured to be working with Gucci on their jewellery campaign. Frida is a very inspiring and creative woman. Her vision is extraordinary and I am excited to be a part of it."
