Lily Collins has dyed her hair pink to avoid looking "the same" as other women.

The 27-year-old actress - who made her acting debut at the age of two in the BBC series 'Growing Pains' - has admitted it was "time for a change" when she took to social media on Sunday (15.05.16) to flaunt her new brightly coloured locks, which she compared with the inside of a Korean watermelon.

The 'Love,Rosie' star posted a string of pictures of her new do on her Instagram account during her trip to Korea. She wrote: "Fueling the fire within. Red hair don't care #timeforachange#KrazyinKorea... (sic)

"Slice open this massive Korean watermelon and I bet my hair would fit right in #fruitinspired#itsabnormallyheavy#supermarkettourist... (sic)."

And the rose haired beauty - who formerly adorned brunette tresses - decided to make the drastic change because there are too many varieties of hair colour to avoid experimenting with her locks.

In another upload, she explained: "Too many colors in the rainbow to stay the same #KrazyinKorea#alteregoemerges... (sic). "

And Lily, who became the ambassador for the beauty brand Lancôme in 2013, met her match when she caught sight of herself in the Juicy Shaker campaign for the company, which sees her dressed in a candy-coloured fur dress and wearing matching lip gloss.

Lily posed alongside the billboard in a picture, which she posted to her account, with the caption: " When your vibrant hair color matches your dress and lipstick. Shaking things up and living life through rose tinted locks @lancomeofficial #lancome#juicyshaker... (sic)."

Yet, this is not the first time Lily has experimented with her tresses, as last year she decided to be "bold" when she traded her shoulder-length locks for a shorter pixie crop.

Speaking previously about her style change, she said: "Cutting off all your hair is a bold move for a girl, but I've been feeling more experimental lately."
