Would this be better in red?

Would this be better in red?

If you're still looking for something new to wear for Valentine's Day or are trying to snare a man to take you out on February 14, it seems red lingerie is still the thing to get them hooked.

A new survey revealed that the stereotype of red lingerie still holds true for more than 50 per cent of men and women.

The E-tailer, Lingerie Please, asked their customers what kind lof lingerie they would purchase and the participants responded that 36 per cent of women and 49 per cent of men put 'saucy red lingerie set' top of their list.

Red bra and knickers has long been considered the apparel of choice in the boudoir and a number of studies have also shown that wearing red has extra potency outside the bedroom department.

However, 15 per cent said that they would not buy new underwear for Valentine's Day or to impress their partner.

Cara Murray, marketing manager at Lingerie Pleasr, says: "Sterotypes are stereotypes because they often contain a large element of truth and the notion that red lingerie continues to hold great sway over the male population is strongly supported by our survey.

"Women too regard red as the colour of choice when selecting the underwear garments that they think will impress their man whether it be for Valentine's Day or as a generaly purchase."

If you're looking for some new underwear, why not go to our own shopping site and treat yourself and your other half to some bits.
