The 'Shwop Shop' is a temporary online store - that was launched on Wednesday (31.08.16) - hosted on the Oxfam Online Shop that will sell some of the best items the public have donated to M&S's Shwopping campaign. The site will also stock classic M&S pieces and over 100 pieces from fashionable celebrities such as Millie Mackintosh, Lisa Snowdon and Stella Tennant.

Members of the public can also donate their once-loved items of clothing which will then be available in the 'Shwop Shop', encouraging shoppers to donate their unwanted clothes so they can be recycled by Oxfam, rather than ending up in landfill.

Mike Barry, Director of Plan A at M&S, said: "Four years ago, M&S helped to revolutionise clothes shopping, by introducing 'Shwopping'. It has been a huge success and the 25 million items 'shwopped' so far, has help us to raise over £17 million for Oxfam and the amazing work it does for those living in poverty. We know our customers' wardrobes are full of hidden treasures, as we see 'shwoppers' turn up week in week out to drop off their once-loved clothes into our Shwop Drops and we are honoured to have their ongoing support.

"We're encouraging the nation to keep rummaging for clothes they no longer wear; bringing the items to us and seeing Oxfam turn them into a something extraordinary."

Customers can buy items such as Stella's pink Chanel suit for £1,800, or Lisa's black silk DKNY dress for £110. 'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant Melvin Odoom has also donated his Nike ID trainers, which are on sale for £45.

All proceeds from the 'Shwop Shop' will go to support Oxfam initiatives to fight global poverty. Since the launch of Shwopping, Oxfam has received 25 million items of clothing, worth an estimated £17 million.
