The United Nude exhibition is now open in the Selfridges London store

Footwear brand United Nude have launched their third exhibition and pop-store in Selfridges London this month.

The collection known for its architectural and experimental designs helps to blur the lines between fashion, art and architecture.

To kick start this new year, Selfridges is hosting a festival to explore the creative mind, and the ways imagination and wonder can enable innovative thought.

The Festival of Imagination originates from two of Harry Gordon Selfridges most cherished mantras: ‘Develop imagination, throw away routine… Imagination is the mother of originality; we encourage imagination in every way possible.’

The exhibition is an invitation to understand the brand’s design process, and combines a modern day shoe art installation with of course shopping to your heart’s content.

“We are super excited to have our own United Nude exhibition and pop-up shop at one of the world’s best shoe departments for the Festival of Imagination,” explains co-founder and creative director Rem D.Koolhaas.

“Imagination is the number one fuel for creativity and without it things simply wouldn’t be designed. Time imagine means to think new, to think outside the box, to dream and to invent.”

The display will takes the form of contemporary art exhibition, featuring shoes like the Masha Ma x United Nude shoe, the futuristic 3-D printed collaboration shoe with Iris van Herpen and the Fang shoe, worn in the latest Hunger Games 2 film. Available to purchase throughout the duration of the exhibition will be the Lo Res collection and the coveted and super exclusive NOVA shoe.

The NOVA shoe has been designed in collaboration with the famous architect ZahaHadid and United Nude, and the story behind the full design inspiration will be explained using a short film.

The exhibition is open now and will run until February 9.
