Dolce and Gabbana have opened a UK store for children.

The luxury fashion house, created by designers Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce, have launched the boutique in London's plush Sloane Square.

It's the brand's third store to open in the famous street, which is also home to a Dolce and Gabanna men's and women's boutiques.

Situated at 8 Sloane Square - it sells vintage toys, clothes, bags and shoes for children aged up to 12 years of age, along with furniture.

A children's pop up shop opened in London's Bond Street for three weeks last year to give shoppers a taste of the junior clothing collection ahead of the new store opening.

The 2014 range features detailed floral dresses for girls and denim shirts for boys.

The first Dolce and Gabanna children's boutique opened in Milan last year and occupied the space formerly used for the D&G line, which was discontinued in 2011.

The designers decided to end the youthful line, which was launched in 1994, to focus on their core brand.

In a statement they said: "For the upcoming seasons, D&G will become part of Dolce & Gabbana, giving even more strength and energy to our collections. To us, it's like going back to when we began our adventure: full of ideas."
