Victoria Beckham has guest edited Vogue Paris' December issue.

The singer-turned-designer worked closely with the magazine's editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt to stage intimate photoshoots starring herself and her husband David Beckham.

She said in a statement: "Being asked to be the guest editor of the Christmas issue of Vogue Paris this year was an incredible honour.

"Working with Emmanuelle Alt and her team was both exciting and inspiring and I am so proud of what we have created."

The special issue features a profile on David, a sneak peak inside Victoria's personal photo album and a tea-time chat with Valentino, who she counts as a close friend, as well as stunning images by David Sims and Inez & Vinoodh.

Emmanuelle explained it was an easy decision to collaborate with Victoria, who was a joy to work with because of her "spontaneous" personality.

She said: "We handed over the running of this issue to a woman who, throughout our working together, has proved to be the exact opposite of her public image.

"She is spontaneous with a great sense of humour, humble yet at the same time driven by a healthy ambition. She is a perfectionist, like everyone who is passionate about their work."

Victoria follows in the footsteps of Tom Ford, who was previously chosen to take over the reins as Vogue Paris' guest editor.
