Glam up your summer wardrobe...

The summer is the perfect season to be experimenting with some great new looks. With that in mind FemaleFirst bring you the black shape wear briefs and some funky tights that will kit out any retro summer wardrobe.

Celebrities are going all out for the 'let's-wear-briefs-as-a-fashion-statement' trend, notably Cheryl Cole wore the Wacoal ‘Shaping Up’ brief, from the ‘Hope On a Hanger’ range in her hugly successful 'Promise This' video and most recently the bootylicious Beyonce taking to the Glastonbury stage in black briefs last month - showing us what she's got.

Though you may think that this is not something for you, it is well worth a look. These briefs are incredibly versatile as they are appropriate for going out, festivals or taking on your hols. Team up with some killer heels (either wedges or platform courts) and a sparkled top and you've cracked the popular summer trend that seems to be sticking around.

We love these briefs as they're simple, not too revealing and give you plenty of support if you're worried about any wobbly bits you'd rather hide. You don't have to show off all your legs either, if that's what concerns you. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley had a great idea to team her briefs underneath a see-through, black fabric for her Transformers 3 premiere. It's a great look that adds edge and style to what could be a very ordinary look- what's more you'll be looking and feeling fabulous grabbing all the male attention in the room. What could be better?

Tights are a tricky thing through the summer months as you're limited to what styles you can and cannot wear for the season.

This hosiery brand Oroblú, have some funky designs that are perfect for festival season and thin enough to wear at the moment.

The styles make them great for going out in too - if you have a skater skirt that you're wanting to wear then glam up with these and you'll have a look that every girl will be after in the room!
