Rihanna wearing Emilio Pucci

Rihanna wearing Emilio Pucci

The Pyjama trend is tricky to pull off and it's most definitely a Marmite situation.

You're either going to love it or hate it, and since Rihanna was pictured wearing an Emilio Pucci ensemble on the red carpet last week, I absolutely love it.

Would you ever be caught in this look outside of the bedroom?

We take a look at those on the high street at the moment, so you can grab the trend yourself for just a fraction of the price.

Phase Eight Linen Kimono Jacket, Stone

This matching ensemble is perfect for those willing to dip their toes in the trend.

The stone colour is not too brash and the whole outfit can be livened up with some accessories.

Phase Eight Wrap Linen Crop Trousers, Stone

Linen material makes it perfect for hot days at the office.

If you don't want to wear the trend loose, tie around a sash or cinch in your waist with a belt. Try studded for a great contrast between the materials.

Jacket, £65, available from John Lewis

Pants, £55, available from John Lewis

If you're ready and willing to take this trend head on then this jacket is perfect for you.

East Anokhi Print Jacket, Indigo

The stunning design is perfect for the summer, and it'll keep you warm on the cooler days and summer evenings.

There aren't matching pants available, but you can still work the trend with a pair of loose fitting trousers in a similar colour.

East Distressed Harem Trousers, Indigo

Steer clear of flat shoes with this look though, you need all of the height you can get.

Pair the look with simple heeled sandals, so as not to distract from the beautiful print on the jacket.

Jacket available from John Lewis, £225.

Trousers available from John Lewis, £49.

ASOS have also had their go at the trend, with a paisley print suit.

The slim fitting legs means that you won't need anything to pull this look together.

The jacket isn't available at the moment, but you'll need to invest in the trousers soon before they sell out.

Wear with a simple plain vest and let the detail of the suit speak for itself.

Choose black like the model, or contrast a bright purple to really get into the summery trend.

Trousers available from ASOS, £30.
