Leather is back for a/w

Leather is back for a/w

Block colours

Top: From Bank £30

Trousers: From New Look £22.99

Much like the s/s season we can look forward to plenty more colour next season. Instead of going for the bright, bold colours to clash, choose rich tones that will warm up your winter wardrobe. Try to avoid exclusively wearing navy blue, brown and blacks, instead go for oranges, reds and purples.

Single colour, many shades:

Shorts: Miss Selfridge £35

Cardigan: From Littlewoods £19

If you're a little bored of blocking your colours then why not pick one colour and instead wearing different shades and hues of that colour. Light layers of the same colour with add depth to a look. Whether its chinos, shoes, blouses or accessories - we can't wait to experiment with different tones.

Leather:

Skirt: From 3.1 Philip Lim for Liberty London £645

Jacket: From Ted Baker £349

We're excited for the return of leather to our wardrobes. Already there are jackets, trousers and knee length skirts making their way onto the runway and highstreet stores and worn correctly it is sophisticated a/w dressing at it's best. Rather than stick to black, why not go for burgundy and browns for tone and warmth this winter. Wear with a sheer blouse and classic jewellery to add the feminine touch.

Midi Skirts:

From Urban Outfitters £110

Midi is the new maxi so expect to see them everywhere as the winter weather unleashes itself on us. Much like the maxi, there are many styles and shades that make it a great versatile a/w option. Either go preppy with blouses and blazers or boy-ish with chunky knits, broagues or booties.

Fur:

Gilet: From Miss Selfridge £60

Coat: From Miss Selfridge £85

If it's a little or a lot, it's not winter without an injection of fur to take off the winter bite. Faux fur is on everything from textured tops to gilets. Team with some animal print to really find your wild side!

Graphic print:

From New Look £24.99

Colour is important as we head into a/w so why not find some funky prints to liven up your outfit? We're seeing a lot of retro inspired palazzo trousers and shift dresses for next season that really embrace the 60s and 70s vibe. Graphic prints are fun, trans seasonal and trend setting.

Knee high and ankle boots:

From Miss Selfridge £59

Flat, chunky or stilleto heels, boots are made for walking in a/w. Not only are they warm, but there are so many styles to chose from, you can have sexy, vintage or riding styles to suit any outfit or occassion.
