Rihanna will showcase her collection for River Island at LFW

With the world’s fashion heavyweights about to descend on the capital city for a week of front row mayhem, Shopstyle have taken a look at the top five deisgners they're keeping their eye out for.

Somerset House will provide the fashion A-list with a home for the week, during which time the fashion god’s from around the world will showcase their Autumn/Winter 2013 collections creations down the catwalk.

But who are the designers should we be looking out for, even if we’re not attending the shows in person? Sian O’Flaherty, Marketing Manager for the fashion shopping search engine ShopStyle.co.uk powered by PopSugar, helps you navigate your way through the shows, revealing the top five designers to watch out for during February’s shows.

Sian says: ‘British designer Zoe Jordon is going to be the envy of all her fashion peers as the remarkable designer has the honour of opening the shows this February.  The designer that inspired us all last season will not disappoint this season. I’m sure Zoe will have another inspirational line that’s full of prints and vibrant colours that will again set our fashion hearts alight. Be sure to check our Zoe shows on February 15th.

Next up we have ‘good girl turned bad’ Rihanna who is making her Fashion Week debut on Feb 16th as she unveils her River Island collection for the first time. Rihanna certainly has her very own unique style, so I am keen to see what creations she has come up with for River Island. My guess is it will definitely be full of colour and fun. However this highly anticipated line sadly won’t available to consumers until March 5th.

Another newbie to the London Fashion Week circuit is L’Wren Scott, an American designer known for her long-term relationship with Rock and Roll legend Mick Jagger.  L’Wren will be showing her AW 13 collection for the first time this February. After years of showcasing her work at the New York shows L’Wren has finally decided to bring her work across the Atlantic and hit the London scene. L’Wren is known for her trademark ‘Headmistress’ dress that exudes power with its impeccable tailoring.  I am excited to see what she has to show us on Sunday 17th Feb in her LFW debut.

J.W. Anderson, although not a household name, is a bit of a London Fashion Week veteran after gracing the catwalks on a number of occasions, but he remains fresh year after year. I am excited to see what he has come up with for AW13. After a successful collaboration with high-street legend TopShop and an army of loyal fans including fashion favourite Alexa Chung, I don’t doubt J.W Anderson will bring it again this season.  Catch his show on the 18th February.

Meadham Kirchoff is definitely one to watch out for, this brilliant duo are all about feminine designs with an old fashioned edge. The guys recently teamed up with Amazon to create a brilliant capsule collection of sweatshirts all bearing different retro motifs that reflected there unique style. Last year they put on a sensory experience for their LFW show where they had partnered with Penhaligons and the chocolate tree to create an amazing 4D fashion show experience, much to the amazement of the captive audience.....Watch out for their show on 19th Feb.’
