Lady And The Tramp

Lady And The Tramp

Lady and the Tramp is one of the greatest Disney movies to every grace the big screen - hard to believe that it was released back in 1955.

This is just such a beautiful movie, I remain such a big fan of the traditional animation that CGI fuelled movies never quite have the same charm as the Disney classics.

Directed by Clyde Geronimi & Barbara Luddy the movie follows the romantic tale of a sheltered uptown Cocker Spaniel dog and a streetwise downtown Mutt.

Seriously if you do not get swept away by this action packed movie then you really do have a heart of stone.

This is a great movie for all the family but is does deliver an excellent message to kids about acceptance and tolerance and social class and status are not really that important.

But also this super charming movie is about friendship and about being there for each other when you need help and support.

Disney is famous for producing some great characters over the years and Lady and the Tramp is no different; Lady and Tramp are surrounded by colourful creations such as Jock, Trusty and the Siamese Cats.

It's a fast paced movie that never really stops for breath and this is supported by some really witty dialogue.

And no Disney movie would be complete without a couple of musical numbers and Peggy Lee was on hand to perform "The Siamese Cat Song" and "He's a Tramp".

Lady and The Tramp may be one of the older movies in the Disney collection but it certainly hasn't diminished over time - it's just as delightful today as it was back in 1955.
