With the release of modern day fairy-tale A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Time this week, we got thinking about the latest influx of talented teens that are currently gracing our screens and making a name for themselves in Hollywood.
Following in the footsteps of former teen film-stars such as Hilary Duff, Zac Effron and Lindsay Lohan, these young starlets are proving that age is just a number and showing that they can hold their own in the world of glitz and glamour.
Here’s our pick of the latest up-and-coming teens that are currently taking Hollywood by storm.
Doing it for the girls:
- Lucy Hale
Lucy Hale rose to fame after winning reality talent show American Juniors in 2003, and since then has gone on to star on both the big and small screens.
Many fans will know Lucy as Aria Montgomery, one of the lead characters in the hit teen drama show Pretty Little Liars - a role for which she has won two Teen Choice awards!
Lucy is also known for her roles in Scream 4, Bionic Woman and Privileged. In addition to these great acting credits, Lucy is also a talented singer, something which she showcases in the musical A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song.
- Selena Gomez
Best known for playing Alex Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place, Selena Gomez has starred in a host of feature films and TV movies, including Another Cinderella Story, and the Princess Protection Program.
You can catch Selena in her upcoming film Spring Breakers, which stars fellow teen icon and High School Musical star, Vanessa Hudgens.
- Chloe Moretz
At only fifteen years of age, Chloe Moretz has already made a name for herself starring in films such as Kick-Ass, Hugo and most recently Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows.
The teen embarked on her career in the spotlight at the tender age of seven, and since then has shown no signs of slowing down. Look out for her in various upcoming leading roles, including The Drummer, Carrie and Emily the Strange.

- Freddie Stroma
Freddie Stroma is an English actor, model and singer, who rose to fame in his role as Cormac McLaggen in the Harry Potter film series.
The young heartthrob also shares the lead with Lucy Hale in A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Time, in which his character Luke is a modern take on Prince Charming. Look out for him in The Philosophers later this year.
- Josh Hutcherson
Nineteen year old Josh Hutcherson has starred in several film and television roles, but most well-known for playing Peeta Mellark in box office hit, The Hunger Games.
Josh once cited movie hunk Jake Gyllenhaal as his inspiration, and from we’re standing he’s just as gorgeous!
- Taylor Lautner
Hottie Taylor Lautner is best known for playing Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga film series, a role which saw him bulk up drastically, even giving R-Patz a run for his money!
With upcoming projects including the final instalment of Twilight due out later this year and Grown Ups 2, he doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon!
