Andrew Garfield is one of the most exciting young British actors who has made a name for himself with The Social Network and Never Let Me Go.
Yes it has been a great eighteen months or so for the actor but his star is set to rocket even further next summer with the release of The Amazing Spider Man.
Garfield beat off a whole host of actors for the leading role of Peter Parker as the franchise gets re-boot with a new lead, and new love interest and a new director.
In the director’s chair is the beautifully named Marc Webb who takes over from Sam Raimi after he and Tobey Maguire departed a fourth movie.
The franchise is taken right back to the beginning with Emma Stone also on the cast list as Gwen Stacey.

Spider Man is one of the most popular Marvel franchises that have been adapted for the big screen - and it promises to add some spice to a very exciting 2012 from a comic book movie perspective.
