This Means War

This Means War

To say that Tom Hardy has had a good 2011 is a bit of an understatement as Warrior and Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy were two of the best movies that I watched over the last twelve months.

And it seems that 2012 is going to do nothing but see his star rise even further. We are all excited to see him take on the role of Bane in The Dark Knight Rises but This Means War will be his first movie outing of the year.

He teams up with Chris Pine and Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon in what looks to be a laugh out loud action, romance, comedy.

McG is back in the director’s chair in what is his first movie since the rather unfairly treated Terminator Salvation, it really wasn’t that bad.

Now if you haven’t seen the trailer for this then you really should check it out as it really does look a lot of fun - two spies battling it out for the same woman what’s not to like?

Two of the world’s top secret agents are best friends who never let anything come between them -- until they inadvertently fall for the same woman.

It’s all-out war, as the two spies battle each other with high-tech surveillance, advanced tactics, and an arsenal capable of bringing down a small country.

We all know Witherspoon has great comic timing and it’s great to see her back in this type of role - it’s a genre where she has thrived in in the past.

But I am excited to really see Hardy and Pine take the comedy element of the movie by the scruff of the neck and run with it - we all know how good both actors are when it comes to the action roles.

Having enjoyed the early trailers for the movie This Means War is one comedy movie that I am really looking forward to seeing in the new year.

This Means War is released February 17th
