The news that acclaimed director Zack Snyder would be allowed to finish his work on Justice League is something that his fans have been excited about ever since it made headlines. Whilst there were claims that it would be an impossible feat following the creator’s stepping down from the project due to a family tragedy back in 2017, it’s clearer now than ever that this was never the case.

What cinema-goers saw upon its release was a mix-match of ideas, as Snyder’s grittier, more grounded world of superhero chaos was combined with new director Joss Whedon’s vision; that of predictable jokes and puns that wouldn’t have felt out of place in a late 1990s comedy flick. It just didn’t work, and the campaign to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut was soon underway across social media.

Not only did ‘regular’ folk sign petitions and get the hashtag trending, but those who had worked in front of the camera on the film as well as members of the crew joined in. It was a phenomenal demand by a fanbase who felt jilted, unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

Snyder himself also seemed to back the idea, hoping to get the opportunity to correct what he thought had gone wrong with the movie’s eventual release and now, he’s been given that chance.

Splicing footage that was left on the cutting room floor from principal Snyder photography with a handful of newly-filmed scenes, the result is a four-hour blockbuster that will likely push all the right buttons for comic book fans and superhero feature junkies.

So, just how do those of us in the UK get to watch what could be one of the most talked-about releases of the year? The answer is actually quite simple!

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will come to Sky Cinema and NOW TV for those who have a Cinema Pass from Thursday, March 18th.

The news was announced last week (March 12th, 2021) and was a shock to many, who thought it would for sure be released for at least a month or two as part of a pay-per-view, on-demand service.

Over in the United States, fans will need an HBO Max subscription if they want to check the movie out for themselves.

As we prepare ourselves for the release, we’ve been enjoying picking apart the final trailer that dropped just a few days back. Check it out below:

Determined to make sure that Superman's (Henry Cavill) sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne aka Batman (Ben Affleck) teams up with Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), to recruit a team of heroes to protect the world from the ultimate catastrophe.

Finding friends in The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), the Justice League is born.

The 55-year-old filmmaker quit the superhero movie during post-production work on the project, after his daughter Autumn passed away, and although Zack knew the move could've damaged his career, he simply "didn't care" at the time…
