Man Up
Man Up will see Pegg and Bell join forces for the first time as they return to the comedy genre to tackle a rom/com with a bit of a twist.
Man Up has hit the big screen today and we have a couple of great new clips to whet your appetite:
We haven't seen Ben Palmer in the director's chair since the huge success of The Inbetweeners Movie back in 2011 - but he is back at the helm having spent the last couple of year focusing on television projects.
And the director has assembled a great cast as Pegg and Bell are joined by Ophelia Lovibond, Olivia Williams, Rory Kinnear, Dean-Charles Chapman, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Ken Stott, and Stephen Campbell Moore.
Meet Nancy (Bell): 34, single (still), hung-over (again), and exhausted by the endless futile set ups foisted upon her by well-meaning but clueless friends. As she travels across London to toast another 10 years of her parent's blissfully happy marriage, 40 year old, freshly-hatched divorcee Jack (Pegg) mistakes her for his 24 year old blind date.
In a moment of uncharacteristic optimism (or insanity?), Nancy decides to just go with it... What follows is a chaotic, unconventional, hilarious night neither of them will ever forget. There will be drinking, there will be home truths; there will be an old classmate with a long-standing crush and stalker tendencies.
There will be lost divorce papers, lost hopes, competitive indoor sports and an epic venue-to-venue urban triathlon. Oh, and the small matter of Jack finding out that Nancy isn't actually his real blind date. Man Up is a romantic comedy about being yourself... or perhaps not being yourself. It's about taking chances, making decisions, and rolling with the consequences.
So, if you want a bit of a change from all of the blockbusters that have littered the big screen in recent weeks, then Man Up could well be the movie for you.
Man Up is a funny and heartfelt comedy that is packed with intelligence and wit. If you are a fan of Bell then this is not to be missed as the actress is on top form.
Man Up is out now.
