Bradley Copper has revealed that he want to appear in The A-Team so he could work with Liam Neeson.

The actor admits that he battled to get the part of Lt. Templeton 'Faceman' Peck as he was keen to work with Neeson, who takes on the role of Hannibal, and director Joe Carnaghan

He told Teen Hollywood: "Well, there weren’t a plethora of action movies that were coming to me, and I fought for this.

"The reason I wanted to do it was Joe Carnahan and Liam Neeson were attached, and I asked for a meeting with Joe and we met and we literally hit it off.

"We talked for like two-and-a-half hours and it felt like five minutes."

And while he enjoyed the shoot Cooper admits that he was covered in cuts and bruises. "I found myself discovering new bruises every time I came home at night.

"Epsom Salts were my saviour on this movie. I still have a scar actually from the butt of the gun [on my right shoulder]. I still have it from the gun training we did. I got banged up on this movie."

So far the movie has faired well with the critics and opened at number two at the U.S. box office, beaten to the number one spot by The Karate Kid.

Sharlto Copley, Quniton Jackson, Jessica Biel and Patrick Wilson also join the big screen adaptation of the cult television series.

The A-Team is released 30th July.
