Bradley Cooper has revealed that the first scene that he shot with Abbie Cornish in Limitless was the toughest.

The pair star together in the big screen adaptation of Alan Glynn's The Dark Fields and had to film an emotional scene just a day after meeting.

Speaking to Marie Claire the actor said: "The first scene we shot together was probably the most difficult in the movie.

"Eddie's at his lowest in terms of getting off the drug, and Abbie and I had only just met the day before, so it was like, Bam! I'm falling all over her, and she's cradling me.

"I think we were able to bond because all we really had was each other in that experience."

Limitless is directed by Neil Burger and also stars Robert De Niro and British actress Anna Friel.

The is the first time that we have seen Cooper on the big screen since he took on the role of Lt. 'Faceman' Peck in the A-Team last year.

But he will be back this summer as he reprises the role of Phil in The Hangover Part II, which sees Todd Philips return to the director's chair.

Limitless is released 23rd March.
