Bryan Singer

Bryan Singer has revealed that his new movie X-Men: First Class is replacing Magneto.

Singer is returning to the X-Men universe after bringing the characters to the big screen for the first time back in

He went on to film X-2 before leaving bowing of out X-Men: The Last Stand to go and work on Superman, Brett Ratner took over directing duties.

However now back Singer has admitted that the Magneto movie may be once again pushed back because The First Class uses elements of the same story.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter said: "This story would probably utilise some of the Magneto story because it deals with a young Magneto, so it might supersede that because this would explore that relationship between a young energetic professor and a disenfranchised victim of the Holocaust.”

This movie comes off the back of the success of X-Men Origins: Wolverine earlier this year that paved the way for the spin off movies.

But Singer doesn’t thing that audiences will grow tired of the X-Men movies saying: "I don't see an exhaustion. The X-Men universe is boundless.

"These are great characters. And as young characters, they are quite different than the characters we have seen in the contemporary movies."
