Danny Boyle has hinted that he wants to direct a second 28 Days Later sequel.
28 Days Later was Boyle's breakthrough film back in 2002 and while he didn't direct the 2007 sequel 28 Weeks Later, that job fell to Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, he did produce.
But the Oscar winning filmmaker seems to be thinking about to returning to the franchise, rumoured to be called 28 Months Later, and is keen to do more than produce.
When talking to Dread Central the director that 'in theory' there was a third zombie movie in the pipeline before going on to say that he was interested in directing the movie.
It's been well over a year since a Danny Boyle movie hit the big screen after the Slumdog Millionaire, which took the Best Picture and Best Director Oscar.
But the new year will see Boyle return to the director's chair with his new movie 127 Hours, which stars James Franco, as he brings the remarkable survival story of Aaron Rolston to the big screen.
The movie has already gained some critical support on the festival circuit and there are already Oscar whispers surrounding the project.
