Gary Oldman says no one know the ending to The Dark Knight Rises.
The British actor has revealed that Christopher Nolan has been desperate to keep the final scenes a secret that scripts were sent out with the end pages missing.
However Oldman admits that he does know how the final act is going to pan out as he reprises the role of Jim Gordon for the third Batman movie to be directed by Nolan.
Speaking to ContactMusic the actor said: "Christopher doesn't want anyone to ruin it and I completely understand that. The newer people on the film go to his office to read the script.
"They sent mine out, but it had to be hand-delivered directly to me and nobody else. And the final few pages were missing.
"I went along and talked to Christopher and in person about the ending. Then I locked it away in my head."
And Oldman is currently finding huge success with his new movie Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - there are already Oscar whispers surrounding his central performance as George Smiley.
The Dark Knight Rises is released 20th July 2012.
