Jim Carrey has admitted that he was inspired to go into acting by his father.
The actor has revealed that it was his father's sense of presence and story telling ability that made him choose an acting career.
Speaking to OK Magazine the actor said: "Really since the very beginning, I looked at my father and he was commanding the room.
"Every time we had people over, he would stand in the middle of the room and I was astounded at his creativity and his animation when he told a story and I was just like, there is no choice for me."
And Carrey is back with his new movie Mr Popper's Penguins, which is released in August. It's the first time we have seen Carrey on the big screen since I Love You Phillip Morris.
Mr Popper's Penguins is released 5th August.
