Mads Mikkelsen is rumoured to be in talks to take on a role in Thor 2.
While the specific character that Mikkelsen will play is as yet unknown he is set to play the villain in the sequel.
Despite the appearance of another bad guy Tom Hiddleston will still be reprising the role of Loki and will be causing trouble and mischief for all involved.
Filming on the second Thor movie is expected to get underway later this year with Chris Hemsworth returning to the role of Thor.
Natalie Portman will also be back as Jane while Anthony Hopkins and Idris Elba are also set to return.
However this time around it will be Alan Taylor in the director's chair.
Marvel are currently flying high with the billion dollar success of Avengers Assemble already this summer, the film is currently the fourth biggest grossing movie of all time.
Filming on Iron Man 3 is also set to get underway this summer.
Thor 2 is expected to hit the big screen in November next year.
