Rhys Ifans

Rhys Ifans has joined the cast for the final Harry Potter movie The Deathly Hallows.

The Notting Hill and The Boat That Rocked actor joked that he was playing drug smuggler Howard Marks when he appeared in Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.

He went on to say: "These people from Harry Potter had to fly out to Spain to fit me for my wizard outfit."

"I'm in this room with the sleeves, the pointy hat, and Howard's wandering past the room with [a joint] on the go. I never used to wear stuff like that'.No Howard, don't panic. This is for another film'."

However he didn't reveal which character he would be playing. The Deathly Hallows is the last film in the Harry Potter series and will be split over two movies.

Ifans' fellow cast member Jason Issacs as revealed his heartbreak at the film franchise coming to an end.

Speaking to Digital Spy the actor who plays Lucius Malfoy said: "I'm absolutely heartbroken, are you kidding? At some point it was going to come to an end. I'm glad it's spread itself out by making two films out of the last [book]."
