Robert Rodriguez had admitted that he is currently working on Sin City 2.
The director adapted The Frank Millar graphic novel back in 2005, the film went on to be a critical and commercial success and there has been talk of a sequel ever since.
Rodriguez reveals that he is working on a script and it's a project that he is still very keen to forge ahead with.
Speaking to Digital Spy the director said: "We're still working on Sin City, I want to do it so we'll see. It's just a matter of when."
"We have a script... a rewritten script that we still have to write and it's just finding the right time slot to do it."
After serving as producer behind on predators Rodriguez is back in the director's chair for Machete and he also has another Spy Kids movie in the pipeline.
