Skyfall

Skyfall

Skyfall has stayed at the top of the UK box office after taking a further £16 million in its second week of release.

Skyfall has now taken in excess of £53 million in just a fortnight and was never under any pressure for the #1 spot.

There was also no move at two as Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted held off the challenge from Silent Hill: Revelation.

Silent Hill: Revelation was the highest new entry on the chat this week as it opened at number three.

Hotel Transylvania continued to enjoy success in the UK as it was up a place to number four while Taken 2 was down two places at five.

Fun Size was the second new entry inside the top ten at number six while Paranormal Activity 4 was a three place faller at number seven.

The movie stars Marion Cotillard and is being tipped to be a major player on the awards circuit - Cotillard herself could bag a second Best Actress Oscar for her performance.
