The Expendables

The Expendables follows up it's success in American by beating off competition from Salt to top the UK box office.

The movie sees a return to the big screen and director's chair for the first time in two years for Sylvester Stallone, who wrote, directed and starred in the film.

The Expendables follows a team of mercenaries head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator. And the movie took £3.9 million in the UK since it's release last week as it brought Toy Story 3's month long reign to an end.

It was new entries galore in the top five this week as horror movie Piranha 3D was new at four while Marmaduke opened at number five.
