We Need To Talk About Kevin

We Need To Talk About Kevin scooped the prize for Best Movie prize at the BFI London Film Festival.

The movie marked the return of Lynne Ramsay to the director's chair as she teamed up with Oscar winner Tilda Swinton.

The movie, and in particular Swinton's central performance, has been raved about by critics on
the festival circuit over the last few weeks.

The movie is based on Lionel Shriver's novel and follows the relationship of a mother and her show and that culminates in tragic circumstances.

Speaking to the BBC Ramsay said: "We worked really hard on this one.

"The script was intricate and really well-crafted - we had to do it that way with only 30 days to shoot.

"It's a really major achievement for us, we have been wanting this for years."

Candese Reid won best British newcomer Pablo Giorgelli won best first feature for Las Acacias.

There were also awards for Ralph Fiennes and David Cronenberg as they both accepted Bafta fellowships.
