A fresh take on the original 2003 Cheaper by the Dozen is to launch on streaming platform Disney+ next month (March 2022), starring Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff in the leading roles.

Directed by Gail Lerner, with a screenplay by Kenya Barris and Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry, the film is based on the novel by Frank Bunker Gilbreth, Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey, breathing fresh, modern life into a story that has already worked its way into the hearts of millions across the globe.

Hectic yet heartwarming, the film will follow the exploits of a raucous blending family, the Bakers, who must manage their family business whilst navigating a hectic home life.

As the fifth big screen adaptation of the original story, fans will be hoping to see something fresh and exciting from this release, as well as nods to the source material, of course.

Not much has been revealed in terms of what we should expect to see when the film does debut, but we do know that alongside Union and Braff will be Erika Christensen, Timon Kyle Durrett, Journee Brown, Kylie Rogers, Andre Robinson, Caylee Blosenski, Aryan Simhadri, Leo Abelo Perry, Mykal-Michelle Harris, Luke Prael and, Christian and Sebastian Cote.

A poster showcasing the incredible roster of names who have signed up to star was also released alongside the trailer, which you can see below:
