Eddie the Eagle had a surprise screening at the Sundance Film Festival, followed by the release of a great new film from the movie and now a poster.

Eddie The Eagle

Eddie The Eagle

So far, Eddie the Eagle has been met well and I am looking forward to seeing up and coming star Taron Egerton star alongside Oscar-nominated actor Hugh Jackman - and the pair feature in this great new quad.

Egerton takes on the central role of Eddie Edwards, Great Britain's first ski jumper at the Winter Olympics. Hugh Jackman plays his trainer Bronson Peary while Dexter Fletcher is back in the director's chair.

Eddie the Eagle is the third feature film for Fletcher, who has already brought us movies such as Wild Bill and Sunshine on Leith. This will be the first time that he has tackled the sporting biopic.

Egerton and Jackman are joined on the cast list by Tim McInnerny, Keith Allen, Iris Berban, and Rune Temte.

Eddie the Eagle follows the realisation of the childhood dream of Eddie, and his unflinching determination to become Great Britain's first Olympic ski-jumper.

Reluctantly aided by former ski-jumper Bronson Peary as his coach, Eddie is unwavering in his quest to reach the 1988 Calgary Winter Games. Eddie the Eagle is an uplifting, inspirational story that celebrates the human spirit, passion, and one man's refusal to accept defeat.

Eddie the Eagle is one of the spring movies that I cannot wait to see and it is already being tipped as one of the most uplifting films of the year. I really cannot wait to see Jackman and Egerton in action.

Eddie the Eagle is released 1st April.
