Karen Gillan has described her Guardians of the Galaxy costume as 'scary' when she saw it for the first time.
Gillan is set to take on the role of baddie Nebula in the second Marvel film to hit the big screen this year.
And the actress admits that she had no idea what the costume was going to look like before she saw it.
Speaking to Collider.com, the actress said: "I couldn't believe it. I was like 'woah'.
"I'd seen mock up pictures and they'd done make-up tests on other people, so I had an idea. But, when I saw it on myself it was really scary."
Guardians of the Galaxy is set to be the biggest film of Gillan's career, as she stars alongside Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt and Vin Diesel.
2014 is set to be a busy film year for the actress, as we are also going to see her star in horror film Oculus and The List.
James Gunn is in the director's chair for Guardians of the Galaxy and will be the final film before Phase Two is brought to a close next year with Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Guardians of the Galaxy is released 1st August.
